About Us

A golfer pointing towards the fairway on a sunny day. — Elks Country Club Golf Course and Hastings Elks Lodge 159
A golfer pointing towards the fairway on a sunny day.

Out on East South Street, the fairways at Elks Country Club Golf Course roll through one of south-central Nebraska's most consistently maintained tracks. Fourteen-plus rounds walked this past summer by a single regular golfer tells you something real: this place earns repeat visits. The front nine plays differently than the back, and locals know which holes demand respect. Carts are available, but plenty of members prefer to walk it, which says a lot about how the grounds are kept.

Inside the clubhouse, Hastings Elks Lodge 159 runs the kind of bar that regulars brag about to out-of-towners. A well-stocked bar, friendly staff, and food that goes beyond typical golf-course snacks make the 19th hole a destination on its own. The lodge hosts casino nights, league banquets, and community events that fill the room with laughter and familiar faces. Men's leagues, women's leagues, couples leagues, and senior leagues all call this place home, so there is always a group to join and a tee time worth making.

What We Offer

The 18-hole course is open to the public, so you do not need a lodge membership to tee it up. A driving range lets you warm up before your round or spend an afternoon working on your swing without committing to a full 18. Walk-on rounds and reserved tee times are both accommodated, and the pro shop staff can point you toward the right option.

League play is a cornerstone of the calendar here. Men's, women's, couples, and senior leagues run throughout the season, giving golfers of every skill level a structured, social way to play regularly. The lodge side of the operation hosts private events, holiday parties, and casino nights with a bar setup that has earned consistent praise from guests. Whether your group needs a post-round meal, a private banquet room, or a full-scale event with games and entertainment, Lodge 159 has the space and the staff to pull it off.

"Thank you for helping me remember how much I enjoy walking around a golf course. I have enjoyed walking your front or back nines ten times this summer, either alone, or with family. I also appreciate your driving range after hitting several buckets of balls. However, I should have taken advantage of your putting green, as well. Thank you for an awesome summer, and for being a part of my 71st birthday gift!"

"All the employees are great! They do their absolute best with the course and the greens are usually rolling fairly good! Having said that, not a great place for kids when busy. Unfortunately with the state of golf people are more concerned with listening to inappropriate music at very loud levels instead of being the slightest bit concerned with people around them. I grew up out here but my son will not and that makes me extremely sad and embarrassed with how people behave on the golf course"

"Perfect place to have an event. We loved being able to have it indoors but also loved the seating area outside. Employees are wonderful, very helpful, and kind, and they had great communication when booking the space and answered all my questions quickly."

The Elks gave America
Flag Day.

Long before it was a national observance, the Order set aside June 14th to honor the flag. Patriotism has always been one of our cardinal principles, and every lodge meeting still closes the same way it has for over a century.
